Things are moving and shaking in the teen space. We’ve had a great winter, making warm recipes in cooking club, hosting some fantastic authors at Midwinter Authors Night and working on several masterpieces in writers group. We have also had some great help with planning our summer read from the Teen Advisory Group. Off site our teen reviewers have been very busy working on reviews for our blog, so if you need a good book be sure to check it out: dplteenreadingraves.blogspot.com,
Now we’re looking ahead to spring and have a nice line up of programs. Our newest and most casual offering will be Cafe Days, starting on February 19th. Cafe Day(which will be taking place every other Tuesday) is designed as a day for teens to gather, chat about writing, art, politics, books etc and have some chai, tea or coffee. So if you are looking for a casual atmosphere and an exchange of ideas, or if you are just looking for a light afternoon snack and some company, swing by meeting room A form 3:30-4:30.
Another change in our regularly scheduled clubs will be the addition of one SAT Essay Prep day on April 7th from 1-2:30. Are you scheduled to take the test in early May? Then come by for a final study session. We’ll work through two practice essays and discuss better ways to use your 25 minutes, how to keep on topic and what to look for in revision.
As usual, our writing and cooking club, anime and Teen Advisory Group will continue through the spring. For club dates and times, please check out the calendar portion of our website. The teen programs are always in green. Or if you have questions about a specific club email firstname.lastname@example.org.
