As part of the library’s Summer Reading Program 2013 for Adults, we are pleased to offer a program by the Derry Town Manager, John Anderson. Mr. Anderson will explain how our local government works, so if you ever wondered who’s who in Derry government, make sure you stop by for this one-of-a-kind presentation!
Monday, June 24
Registration for the Adult portion of the Summer Reading Program at Derry Public Library starts on June 17. Come to the Reference Desk to sign up! Registered participants read at least five books of their choice during the summer and record them in a reading log that will be provided. One “raffle” ticket will be presented for every book read – two for every book about the history of Derry! Participants will also receive a ticket every time they attend one of the following scheduled programs. Additionally, there will be drawings for small door prizes at the programs.
At the end of the program, on or about August 9, a final drawing will be held for the three Summer Reading prizes – book bags filled with treasures including an autographed copy of Rick Holmes’ “Nutfield Rambles”.
