Digging into Derry: Genealogy Program!

Derry Public Library is pleased to welcome back its former Reference Librarian, Christine Sharbrough, Certified Genealogist, as guest speaker for the Adult Summer Reading Program, Digging into Derry: Genealogy.

Derry Public Library offers free access to  three web-based genealogy databases (Ancestry.com, HeritageQuest, and American Ancestors), plus free internet access for other online research, microfilm of the Derry News back to the late 1800’s for obituary research, and other print tools to help you find your ancestors. Come to the library on July 22nd at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of fun and information

Christine Sharbrough is a Certified GenealogistSM and received a Bachelor’s in Art History from University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 2009. In 2012, she received a Masters in Library Information Science with a concentration in Archival Studies from Drexel University.

She previously held positions as a professional genealogy researcher with NEHGS (Boston), Family History Expos (Salt Lake City), and ProGenealogists (Salt Lake City) and has participated in many other private genealogy research projects over the past 30 years.
