Backyard Birds of Derry!

Since moving to Derry ten years ago, amateur naturalist T.J. Cullinane has spotted 78 different species of birds, without even leaving his back yard. In this two part series, TJ will share some of his most fascinating observations. He’ll cover common visitors like the Chickadee and Titmice as well as lesser known species like the Redstart and Black-throated Blue Warbler.

Part One of the series will focus on the perching birds that love to visit the back yard feeder.

Wednesday, July 26 at 6:30 pm.

Part Two (Wednesday, August 16 at 6:30 pm) will focus on party crashers at the feeder to include predatory birds like the Sharp-shinned Hawk and Barred Owl.
