Craft Club – New!
We are starting a new club – for crafters! Each month has a pre-selected craft. All you need to do is show up. 🙂 You must register, however, since supplies are limited. REGISTER HERE! Or call us at 603-432-6140.
Meetings will take place on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm
September 7: Fusing grocery bags!
Using an iron, some parchment paper, and lots of grocery bags, we’ll create sturdy plastic material that can be turned into just about anything: totes, makeup bags, book covers, rain hats, etc. We’ll have some bags, but we welcome extra bags, especially any that are interesting colors or with fun designs.
October 5: Fairy lanterns!
Using a glass jar, some moss, cardstock, and an LED candle, we’ll make beautiful fall fairy lanterns for you to display all season. If you have *just* the perfect jar, please bring it! Otherwise, we’ll provide standard Mason jars (wide-mouthed jars are perfectly suited–think mayonnaise or pickle jars).
November 2: Paper marbling!
It’s never a bad time to send a beautiful homemade greeting card, but November and December seem especially well-suited for the task. Come design your own beautiful marbled designs on card stock using only food coloring and shaving cream.
December 7: Bath bombs!
Make some as a gift or keep ’em for yourself; these DIY bath fizzies are easy and fun to make! Food coloring, Epsom salt, essential oil, and a few other easy ingredients make these a breeze to put together. We’ll have all the ingredients on hand, but if you have favorite molds or essential oils, bring them along!
The afternoon group:
Meetings are every 2nd Friday of each month at 1:30 pm. We meet downstairs in the Library (Room A). We are always looking for new members and new suggestions for good books to read and discuss. We enjoy reading all kinds of books! All are welcome. Books are available for checkout at the Front Desk.
