Genealogy Series: Downtown Derry Historical Walking Tour

Let’s peel back a layer of history and look at downtown Derry prior to 1950. Where was Young’s Block and when was Veterans Memorial Hall built? Where was Tappan Robie’s blacksmith shop and where did Hattie L. Smith design and sell her hats? Where was William Hobdy’s shop and why did Stonecutter Moore punch a fellow from Lynn at the train station in 1890? Join this walking tour to find out.

This walking tour will travel from the Derry Public Library down to Marion Gerrish and back again.
