Book Box Adult

We are excited to present Book Box Adult, DPL's new subscription book service for ages 18+.

Once you register, you will be enrolled in a 3 month (May, June, July) book box subscription where we will use your reading tastes to curate a box just for you!

Since this is a new service, to give more people a chance to partecipate, we ask that you do not register for this round, if you were enrolled in the pervious book box subscription (Feb, March, April).

Register early as spaces are limited. One registration per person, please.

Evening Craft Club

April showers bring May flowers.  So, let's get ready with a lovely embroidery project.  This month we will be embroidering spring flowers with supplies provided in your take-and-make bag.   Join us via Zoom for instructions and conversation with fellow crafters.    Registration is required.  We will contact you  prior to the event with instructions and a link.  *Take-and-make bag quantities are limited.

Poetry Book Group

“We all write poems; it is simply that poets are the ones who write in words” – John Fowles

Do you enjoy poetry and wish you could talk about it with someone? Or, do you wish you understood poetry and what it was trying to say? Then join our monthly, pressure-free discussion group where we tiptoe and soar through the world of the word!

Registration is required so that you can join us virtually via Zoom.

Hollywood and the US Military: A Look at a Cinematic Partnership

You've heard of the military-industrial complex, but have you heard of the military-entertainment complex?

This month, Liz's film education series looks at the history of the US Military's role in Hollywood: Why and when the military gets involved, and what influence the military and the Department of Defense as a whole has on motion pictures.

This program will be presented via Zoom.
