Take a trip across oceans to Japan! Explore art, history, and culture from this fascinating country through three different projects. Learn about the art of gyotaku, or fish printing, and make your own on a fabric bag to take home. Discover the celebration of Kodomo No Hi…children’s day!

Crabs, squid, and jellyfish, oh my!  Join us for some ocean fun, making sea creatures out of pool noodles.  We will also be reading a funny book about a sea creature that is NOT a fish.  Registration is required and will open on June 9th.

Certified Dog Trainer and Family Paws Parent Educator Brianna White will be at the library to teach us how to read and learn about dog body language.  We will become "doggy detectives" and see if we can read the clues to understand the fascinating feelings of dogs!  We will also have the opportunity to spend some time with Maverick the Therapy dog!

Recommended for Ages 5-11.

EXPLORE THE CORAL REEFS 

We're kicking off "Oceans of Possibilites" with a glow dance party.  Wear something white or flourescent bright and we'll all shine under the lights!  We'll dance until we drop!  Mermaid Meranda will be in the library as well for pictures and undersea crafts!
