POSITION: Library Director
SALARY RANGE: $80,000-100,000. Pay commensurate with experience.
BENEFITS: This is a 37.5/wk salary position with competitive benefits.
DESCRIPTION: The Derry Public Library (2021 NHLTA Library of the Year) is seeking a full-time director for the 4th largest community in NH who is responsible for 24 staff members and a budget of $1.45M. Our remarkable staff works together as a supportive, cohesive team.The director must be a collaborative leader, motivator, and visionary. To effectively fulfill the requirements of this position, the candidate must be a strong leader who is responsible for the management and development of staff, maintenance and safety of building, implementation of policies and increased library-community engagement. The candidate must demonstrate skills in HR supervision, budget management, and technology. Some night and weekend attendance may be required. This position reports to the Library Board of Trustees.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Masters Degree, MLS/MLIS preferred; 5 years library experience with at least 3 years of management experience required; proven track record of policy management and budget management.
