Join the Friends:
If you wish to donate your time, the Friends of the Derry Public Libraries (the Derry Public Library and the Taylor Library) are always looking for new members.
To join, print out the PDF application, choose your level of support, and send it to The Friends of the Derry Public Libraries, 64 E Broadway, Derry, NH 03038.
Membership dues support cultural events for children and adults, as well as library museum passes. Friends also assist with the libraries’ wish lists. Membership categories and annual dues are listed below (choose your level of support):
- Student/Senior (62 & older) – $3
- Individual – $5
- Family – $10
- Individual Supporting – $25
- Corporate – $100
- Benefactor ($100.00+)
The Friends of the Derry Public Libraries meet six times per year, on the second Tuesday in Dec., Feb., Apr., June, Aug., and Oct. at 7 pm, usually at the Derry Public Library.
The Friends also sponsor a book sale on the lower level of the Derry Public Library on the second Saturday morning of each month from 9:30 to 12:30, except the months of July-August. The September book sale is held during Derryfest. All proceeds support the Derry Public Library and the Taylor Library.
