Join Ms. Meredith from the Children's Museum of New Hampshire for a trip around the world as we investigate animal science through popular folktales and legends! Participants travel from East Africa to Brazil and beyond as they hear how the King of the Birds was chosen, why Bear has a stumpy tail, and more. Each folktale will have a corresponding animal science focused experiment or activity.
We all know the story of the three little pigs. Today we will be adding a STEM element to it. Join us to build houses for our little piggies with candy and toothpicks. Then we will see if our big bad wolf blow dryer can blow them down.

The challenge is on--Join the Great New Hampshire Animal Search! Use the checklists to track all of you critter sightings throughout the summer. Turn in your Great New Hampshire Animal Search participation page by August 5th, and you will recieve a bonus ticket for our Summer Reading Raffle Basket.
Recommended for ages 3 and up.
The first thirty children registered will recieve an Animal Search kit, complete with clipboard and animal pencil, but activity forms are available for everyone, so ask a friendly children's librarian about them, even if they activity is full!
