Author John "Red" Cummings is the featured guest speaker whose local history books are always of great interest. Cummings has written five highly acclaimed historical true stories since his first book eight years ago. Other best-selling books are The Last Fling, Hurricane Carol 1954; Cream of the Crop, Fall River's Best and Brightest about Fall River and neighboring communities outstanding successful citizens; Lobstah Tales, the History of the Moby Dick/Back Eddy Restaurant in Westport and Murder, Manslaughter and Mayhem Volumes 1 and 2.
So, you think you know American history. After all, you were taught this discipline from the time you were in elementary school all the way through high school and perhaps college.
Every book – fiction or non-fiction – starts with an ‘aha moment’ when its author sees, hears, or experiences something that becomes the genesis of a story and, 90,000 words later, a book.
All ages 12-102 are welcome to our Young Adult Fiction Book Club, held on the last Tuesday of every month at 6:30. Refreshments are served, and a lively discussion of that month's book is enjoyed! No registration required.

Hildy Good is a townie. A lifelong resident of a small community on the rocky coast of Boston's North Shore, she knows pretty much everything about everyone. And she's good at lots of things, too. A successful real-estate broker, mother, and grandmother, her days are full. But her nights have become lonely ever since her daughters, convinced their mother was drinking too much, sent her off to rehab. Now she's in recovery―more or less.
