Calling all Reference Librarians (Again!)
Do you struggle with how to answer legal questions from your library patrons? Want to learn some tips and tricks from “specialists” in the trade? If so, please join us on Thursday, January 12th from 1 – 4 pm at the Derry Public Library for a program designed specifically for public librarians.
This 3-hour session will aim to cover the reference interview for legal questions, foundations of the law, and an overview of legal aid in New Hampshire. This program was originally scheduled to be held in July, 2022, but Covid unfortunately got in the way.
This program will be conducted by NH State Law Librarian Mary Searles, Derry Public Library Director (and former Attorney) Eric Stern, and Emma Sisti, pro bono manager from 603 Legal Aid.
